Today as I drove into work I saw a billboard posted with the words, "BE THANKFUL".
Without a doubt I am thankful for my life and proud of what I have accomplished. I am most thankful for:
1. Jeff- He is my rock, my best friend and love of my life. I couldn't imagine my life without him.
2. Bella, my daughter- She inspires me to be the person I am. Her kind heart and innocence makes me believe in the good of people.
3. My Education- Through numerous years of school and degrees I love learning and the commitment of being a life long learner. Being in the field of education is rewarding and exciting and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else.
As I move into the year I want to remember these two words and always be thankful for what I have and not what I want. I know I can always be prettier, skinner, smarter or richer but being grateful for what I have is what matters most even more than the best bag or pair of shoes.

End of Vacation
Even though today is the end of my vacation and I go back to work tomorrow I am quite pleased with how much I accomplished during my break. The office/exercise/sports room is completely done with everything hung awaiting for our M.Vick autograph to arrive back from the framer. My craft area is organized and ready for me to tackle some "pinterest projects". I made good on my goal of working towards a healthier me by eating more vegetables and facing the SCALE...... I know what I need to do to accomplish my goal weight. The exercise jar is awaiting to be stuffed with dollars and my bike is calling my name even though I don't think I will get there tonight.

A NEW YEAR a NEW ME!!!
I have always wanted to blog but never thought that I had anything interesting to say that people would care to read about. In following others blogs I was quick to realize that I did have some pretty good ideas and concepts that people may enjoy hearing about; so this year I decided to make a new year's resolution to blog about 2012 and make it the best year ever!!
In 2012 I promise to.....
1. Lose the weight in a healthy manner and maintain a healthier lifestyle. I will eat more vegetables and limit my consumption of sugary snacks.
2. Exercise at least three times a week by spinning and eventually taking up outdoor cycling when the weather gets better.
3. Blog at least three times a week sharing things that I did in my classroom, pinterest ideas that I execute and recipes that are both healthy and yummy.
4. Create a budget, tackle more debt and improve my financial status so that Jeff can finally buy me that DIAMOND!!!
4. Finally I wil take care of the experience and DO WHAT GIGI wants by taking better care of myself and putting my needs first.
